Here’s the place to talk with others online, swap information and ideas, solve each other’s problems, read about other Landshare Canada lives and create your own micro-communities through groups and organisations.
Resource library
Add your files here to share - you can add video, images, word documents and other file types. You must make sure that you have the usage rights to add and share these files before you upload them.
Blogs
See what other Landsharers are up to for some growing inspiration, maybe a hot tip - or simply for pleasure. You can also 'follow' favourite bloggers, getting an alert on your computer every time they post. To start your own blog, click on 'blog' in My Stuff, and just get writing. You can write as much or as little as you like, as often as you like.
Forum
Compost or manure? Do snails really hate garlic? And what are the best gardening books? Take a look at the hot topics in the Forum, where you can chat and join in the debate. You can also use the forums to tell others about events, or to swap gluts of apples or courgettes, seeds, and equipment.
Community questions
Tap into your online community to ask - and answer - questions that everyone can share. Don’t forget to browse the list of problems and solutions that have come up in the past – you might find an answer is there already. And if you’re still stumped or would rather email someone directly, check out the Helper directory.
Meet up groups
General groups
Get together with Landsharers in your area to form a local community. You can use your group to find and share advice and information local to your area, and arrange to meet up to swap seeds, produce, and help. You could also start a group for Landsharers with a particular interest or specialism.
Organisations
Organisations that want to share their work with Landshare Canada and offer land can set up their own hub on the website. Your organisation allows you to collate all your listings in one place, keep a regular blog that any admin of your organisation can add to, and post documents and other files.
