I am a pragmatic outdoors person with anarcho-primitivist beliefs. I want to live simply and thrive using nature's gifts. I am not a flaky mystical hippie by any means. I grew up on a farm, with minimal technology, and I have learned over the course of my 36 years that I am healthier and happier without the hum of traffic or electrical devices. I need green spaces and clean air.

We're looking to form a co-op to start an organic berry farm within a 3-hour radius of Montreal, QC. Other projects might include poultry, rabbits, goats, beekeeping and some greenhouse vegetable gardening to increase our self-sufficiency. At this stage we'd like to meet like-minded or compatible folks who share a similar dream, are committed to organic growing, environmental stewardship and who are interested in working as part of a team. We're 30-something city-dwellers concerned about food security and looking to have more control of where our food comes from. Nous parlons français!

We seek to connect people with land and create conditions for gardeners and communities to flourish. We envision community gardens as a key tool for food security, ecological integrity and community building. The PCGN was formed out of the need to unite and share resources to enhance existing programming and support new community garden projects throughout the County and City of Peterborough.
