Who can help

I'm looking for a small piece of land to grow some herbs and veggies within a 30 min. biking distance from downtown. I'd be more than willing to share some of the produce with the land owner.

I would like to find a small plot of land for use beginning in spring of 2012. If land needs a lot of work, perhaps some prep can be done in the fall. I would like to grow a variety for fruits and vegetables and wold be more than happy to make it a group effort if people wanted to get together with me. I would like to keep it within a 30km radius if possible just to reduce to pollution associated with the food we produce. A place around Pakenham, Almonte, Blakeney,, White Lake or Kinburn would be perfect. Will travel to Carleton Place or Fitzroy if need be.

The Yellowknife Community Garden Collective (YCGC) manages 4 community gardens in Yellowknife. Plots are taken very quickly in the spring, so register early!
