looking to find the golden path

Hello! I am 24 years old and have been interested in farming and growing for about 6 or 7 years. I am looking to start an organic Community Supported Agriculture center in Kitchener-Waterloo. My parents have a farm in Wellesley, but as they rent the land for agriculture, I do not have the space I need to accomplish my goal. I was thinking of trying to find supporting farmers around the area, and then I came across this website, which is essentially that. My vision is to create a center for people to pick up weekly bundles of fresh food and to offer delivery as well. I want to work with local youth centers and schools to get the young people more involved in growing their own food and learning about sustainable living. In addition to the CSA pickup, I want to offer a store that is open every day during the week. In order to be open during the winter, I will need to build greenhouses and try growing in the cold climate. I am applying for a grant to make this possible, and asking support for a sustainable mission from my hometown.

I have a landscaping business in Victoria BC, which creates Healing Gardens that Produce a Yield. I am looking for land to tend to and develop into a such garden as I am growing out of my space at home. I would like to find a place to live and work the land. I would create a retreat type venue for healing avenues, yoga, music, cob and permaculture type workshops, seed saving, bee keeping, herb gardens, food producing, and a place to utilize culinary and medicinal herbs. I have the following education: Ecological Landscape Design, Permaculture Design Certificate, Master Gardener Certificate, Cob Building and am an Artist. I am interested in this movement, as a way to transition our society to a more sustainable economy. A healthy local economy starts with local food. At the moment I have neither land to offer or strength to farm, but I would like to play matchmaker between people I know who would benefit from this but don't yet realize it. If there are any matches in my area, I would like to observe how it works, in the hopes that I can one day myself be in the position to be in this type of arrangement myself.

City gal turned to dirt loving gal. I have been lured by the mountains, the crystal water and the rich soils of Bella Coola. I am musing a CSA, bees, a few beasts on a large piece of land that harbours luxuriant forests and waterways. Farming is hard work but devoid on unnecessary complexities. It fosters a deep appreciation for the simple gifts that the earth bestows...and so I stay on the path.

A city dweller who's concerned about food security and believes it is a right for all people. Have years of experience doing garden work, but I still consider myself an amateur. Came to start the Occupy Garden (Toronto) group on the land-share site.

I have always been passionate about the wilderness, exploring, preserving and now sharing with my grandchildren. There is no better way for me to meditate than to be on my knees with my hands in the earth, gardening. As list owner of Freecycle Calgary, I asked our 9400 members to submit any nonprofit organizations that would be of interest to other members for our Links section. Landshare Canada was submitted today. After taking a peek at your site, I immediately added it to the Links section and here I am joining because I feel I would be most comfortable here. I cannot offer Land, alas, but am willing to help any growers with planting or weeding. Thank you.

I am a relative newbie to gardening. This is my third year trying to grow. I live in a condo complex so have minimal space and a big, shade-casting tree making it tough to grow things well. I'm looking for more space to cultivate crops like kale, chard, collards, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, carrots and beets.
